Support for You
Being adequately supported is integral to any birthing journey, whether it be processing a previous one or planning your next. If you are planning a VBAC, it is especially important that you build a strong support base to nurture you and your birth choices.
CARES offers support to all birthing women both online and in the community. If you would like to find out more about how we can support you, you can:
- Email us for support
- Access information, online support and networking opportunities here on our official website
- Connect with CARES and the online community via our facebook page
- Attend a CARES coffee morning
- Access one-to-one telephone contact upon emailed request
- Participate in information seminars and workshops
For more information about how we can help you, see ‘In the Community’.
For professional support during pregnancy, birth and beyond, you might consider hiring a birth attendant, such as a birth worker, doula or student midwife. CARES members typically turn to these people for additional support during planned VBACs because they are often well aware of ‘the system’, can advocate for you and your wishes when you and your partner might be unable to do so, and can anticipate the ways in which you might require additional attention during each stage of your journey.
Members receive additional benefits to those outlined above. For more information, please see our ‘Membership’ page and consider supporting our valuable organisation and the work we do by becoming a member today.
Become a CARES volunteer and support our community
